SMARTKey

SMARTkey is a programmable key which provides a cash-free way to pay for metered parking in Downtown Toledo. It is designed to be carried on your key chain. It is programmed at the time of purchase for a minimum amount of $10 (plus an initial refundable deposit of $15). When you fully insert the key into the meter it displays the value remaining on your key. Then reinsert the key and the meter will automatically deduct $.25 from your key balance and put time on the meter. Each reinsert provides $.25 worth of parking. Your SMARTkey eliminates the need to carry coins for parking meters. It can be used in combination with U.S. nickels, dimes and quarters including the U.S. minted $1 coin.
