DETER Program information
Starting May 3, the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles will be automatically notified of parking violators who have three or more tickets more than 30 days overdue, the Downtown Toledo Parking Authority announced yesterday.
The BMV will then place a block on registration renewals and transfers and duplicate titles.
The program, called DETER - Drivers with Excessive Tickets Excluded from Registration - was authorized by Toledo City Council on March 23.
